Job Duties
-Welcome clients
-Determine the cost of the goods, services, or entrance and use an electronic cash register, another cash register, an optical price scanner, or other equipment to calculate the total amount that must be paid
-Weigh bulk items and produce
-Accept and handle payments made with a credit card, debit card, cash, or check
-Pack items or put them in bags
-Provide clients with information
-Compute the foreign exchange rate
-At the conclusion of the work shift, tally the payments you received and compare it to the total sales
-When selling lottery tickets, alcohol, or cigarette goods, make sure the customers are of legal age
-Possibly replenish shelves and tidy the area around the checkout station

•Overtime Pay (1.5 times of hourly wage after 40 hours of working in a week and or after 8 hours in a given day).
•Vacation pay as per Saskatchewan Standards (3 weeks or 5.77% of vacation pay)
